The role
As Associate Professor, you will be a real catalyst at the heart of the school of nursing, leading on the professional development of our Adult Nursing programmes in collaboration with our existing Associate Professors/Team Leaders for adult nursing. We will look to you to identify, promote, and deliver the most innovative, practical, and inclusive practice in learning and teaching which enhances the student experience and is informed through external and collaborative engagement with our practice partners. You will have a vision for adult nursing that develops adult field nursing students who are ready at the point of registration to work in the complex and diverse settings where adult nursing is delivered. You will also make a real impact on the School of Nursing’s leadership and management, championing the design and delivery of our adult nursing programmes.

The person
We’re seeking a forward looking academic professional who can champion adult nursing and who has a vision for developing innovation and contemporary adult nursing curricula to reflect the range and diversity of specialities and placement settings.

A UK qualified Adult Nurse, you will be abreast of the developments in this field to ensure our programmes remain of high quality. You will have had experience in Adult Nursing education, leading on creative and innovative approaches to curriculum design. You will be an excellent communicator and collaborator, working with the Team Leaders and their teams for our adult nursing ensuring high satisfaction for our students and driving up quality to the highest standards. Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they meet the Kingston University standards in learning and teaching and research. At the end of the probation period you must have the relevant level of UKPSF recognition (if this has not already been obtained).
