The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and ambitious HCPC registered Occupational Therapists to join their dynamic team of academics delivering excellent and visionary pre-registration occupational therapy courses.
They have been successful in growing their provision and due to recent promotions within the team are seeking to recruit 3 academic posts to work within the team supporting to prepare their learners for practice. You will be joining an outstanding team of over 40 occupational therapists, and we offer a range of courses including BSc, MSc and Integrated Degree Apprenticeships in Coventry and London. Their curriculum area continues to develop offering educational delivery across the whole career pathway and now includes AHP Return to Practice, Enhanced Clinical Practitioner and Advanced Clinical Practice e-portfolio routes.
The successful applicants will be working within a diverse curriculum focused on personalised learning, research inspired teaching and strong partnership working with their partners.
For the assistant professor post applicants should demonstrate an excellent understanding of their specialist area of practice/education and be able to demonstrate research and evidence-informed practice within that area. At Assistant Professor level, applicants should be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise holding a higher degree in an occupational therapy or related subject and be registered with the HCPC. Experience of teaching students, either within a HEI or as a clinical educator, would be advantageous. You will work alongside the team to embed new and evolving learning technology and design to support engagement in learning to enhance our learner’s leadership skills, person centred approaches, evidence informed practice and digital capabilities for the future.
The occupational therapy team are one of the largest in the country and work collaboratively with a wide range of health care professions within the Faculty of Health and Life sciences and now benefit from new, ‘state of the art’ health science simulation facilities, a £60M+ investment.
