The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is the largest School in the University. We have a broad provision of health professions related courses across Dietetics, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practice, Paramedic and Physiotherapy all leading to professional registration. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to take up a full-time position as an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Independent Prescribing. Applicants must be a registered health professional with a prescribing qualification; we would welcome applications from nurses, AHPs and pharmacists.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of our well-established suite of post registration prescribing course which are delivered both online and face-to-face. They will have a strong commitment to developing and maintaining productive relationships with external partners and other stakeholders. They will also need a high level of inter-personal skills and personal effectiveness to promote a high-quality experience for all of our students. Their teaching approach will be flexible, student-centred and research informed. Previous experience of teaching within a higher education institution is highly desirable.
