The University of Northampton is seeking an HCPC and BDA registered Dietitian to lead the development and delivery of a new BSc (Hons) Dietetics programme within the Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Dietetics education, developing a practice-focused curriculum that prepares students for contemporary healthcare environments. As Course Leader, you will provide strategic and academic leadership, working with colleagues, students and external partners to establish a high-quality programme that supports the development of a future-ready Dietetic workforce.
You will be a registered Dietitian (HCPC and BDA) with substantial clinical experience, ideally within the NHS or a related healthcare setting. You will be passionate about education and committed to supporting the development of future Dietitians.
Experience in higher education is desirable, although applicants with significant experience teaching, mentoring or supervising learners in clinical practice are encouraged to apply. You will have excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, alongside a clear vision for producing confident, compassionate and employable graduates.

Qualifications:
Essential
- Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject area of Dietetics
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA) (please provide registration numbers)
- Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale
Desirable
- Master’s degree in relevant subject
- Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
