Are you a registered Adult Nurse with community or primary care experience looking to start or continue an academic career at the University of Plymouth, in the beautiful Southwest of England?
About the role
We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Nurse to join the well-established team of nursing lecturers at the University of Plymouth. We have an opportunity at our Plymouth campus, in Devon. You will be an NMC registered Adult Nurse, preferably with a background in community and, or primary care. You will contribute to teaching excellence related to nursing care and contribute to the academic and clinical development of Adult Nursing at the University. This will include the development and delivery of foundation degree, undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research within the school and join an appropriate research group.
We offer foundation degree, undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes. Research in the School was rated highly in the REF2021 and continues to grow. The University of Plymouth Clinical Schools initiative is an exciting development, through which applied nursing and midwifery research focuses on topics that are timely and relevant to advancing the quality of care.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications and an honours degree in health, or related subject, is essential. You should have at least three years post registration clinical experience, and preferably have, or be willing to work towards a relevant postgraduate qualification and a teaching qualification.
