Northumbria University is seeking applications for independent assessors to assess the End Point Assessment of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Level 7) Integrated Degree Apprenticeship. The externally appointed Assessors will support our quality assurance processes with integrated apprenticeship standards. By the nature of the apprenticeship structure, assessors must be independent of the teaching, learning and management of the on-programme apprentice experience. Rigorous, robust and independent end-point assessment is essential to give employers confidence that apprentices completing an apprenticeship standard can actually perform in the occupation they have been trained in and can demonstrate the duties, and knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) set out in the occupational standard.
Assessors will operate under an annual agreement. This annual renewal process is essential to ensure ongoing alignment of professional skills and competency to the apprenticeship standard and ability to appropriately assess the activity outlined in the Apprenticeship Standard Assessment Plan. Individual assessment experience with detailed industry knowledge is essential to allow robust judgements against the relevant apprentice standards to be made, competency-based assessment experience is desirable.
The Independent Assessors will conduct the online assessment of the higher degree integrated assessment in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Advanced Clinical Practitioner End Point Assessment Plan:
