External Examiner – Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care Leadership

The University of Gloucestershire is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care Leadership and Associated Modules.

The duties of the role are as follows:

  • Consideration and moderation of students’ module assessments.
  • Submission of an External Examiner’s Annual Report
    Membership and attendance at Boards of Examiners
    Collaboration with programme directors, module leaders and administrative colleagues to inform the continued monitoring, review and enhancement of the programme.

Appointments are typically for a period of four years and the appointment is for the start of the 25/26 academic year. Applicants would preferably have relevant research qualifications, experience and knowledge of post-graduate research programmes and Health and Social Care Research as a subject area. However, other applicants may be considered. Appointment is subject to meeting the university’s criteria for the appointment of External Examiners.
