The School of Nursing and Advanced Practice at Liverpool John Moores University wishes to appoint an External Examiner for a level 6 renal care CPD which includes topics such as renal disorders/treatments/ replacement therapies/vascular access/transplantation etc.
This appointment will be for immediate start.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced lecturers who have experience in renal management or high dependency nursing. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. The appointment will normally be for a period of 4 years. Applicants should hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Suitable candidates will:
- Be employed in Higher Education
- Have experience in delivering renal management /high dependency education.
- Have experience in designing, delivering, and assessing Level 6 provision.
- Usually have previous External Examiner experience.
- Be resident and have the right to work in the UK.
Duties will include:
- Moderating samples of essay scripts and other assessed materials, advising the programme teams on the content and standard of assessments
- Completion of module reports and a yearly programme report.
- Liaising with other external examiners at LJMU.
- Attendance at the Board of Examiners as required.
