The School of Healthcare at the University of Hull are looking forward to working with a new External Examiner and End point assessor for modules within our BSc Paramedic science degree and integrated apprenticeship.
The duties of the position are as follows:
- Consideration and moderation of students’ assessments of theory and practice learning.
- Submission of an External Examiner’s Annual Report
- Membership and attendance at Boards of Examiners
- Collaboration with programme directors, module leaders and administrative colleagues to inform the continued monitoring, review and enhancement of these programmes.
- To monitor and facilitate the progression of apprentices throughout the programme and through the End point assessment
External examiners appointments are typically for a period of four years and the appointment is for the start of the 2025 academic year. Applicants should have relevant experience and knowledge of pre-registration Paramedic education and apprenticeships and must also be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). Previous experience as an External Examiner is desirable. Appointment is subject to meeting the university’s criteria for the appointment of External Examiners.
