External Examiner – BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography

The School of Health Sciences, Bangor University is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the following programme:

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (3-year, full-time programme)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff with expertise and experience in Diagnostic Radiography. Applicants must hold:

  • A current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Professional membership with the Society and College of Radiographers (SoR) (or demonstrate equivalent professional alignment).
  • A recognized teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g., Fellowship of Advance HE / FHEA).
  • Experience relevant to the academic and clinical standards of the programme.

Experience as an external examiner is desirable but not essential. The role includes moderation of assessments, review of radiography-specific modules, completion of monitoring reports, and attendance at Boards of Examiners. Our programmes use online submission and marking processes; experience with Turnitin and Blackboard is helpful, however, training will be provided.

The appointment will be with effect from September 2026 and will be for a full 4-year term. Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee, and an induction day will be offered to be held at the University following appointment.
