The Academy of Nursing at the University of Exeter is seeking applicants for the role of External Examiner for our MSci (Hons) Nursing Programme.
Underpinned by our unique seven Pillars of Learning, our pioneering 4-year MSci (Hons) nursing programme offers students the opportunity to follow one of two pathways towards registration: Adult Nursing (Single Registration) or Adult and Mental Health Nursing (Dual Registration). Our new BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme built on the same spirit of innovation and solid foundation of our seven pillars launches in September 2025. We are inviting applications from colleagues who share our passion for designing innovative, authentic assessment approaches and delivering nursing curricula that cultivate a spirit of enquiry, empathy, and engagement in our students. Successful applicants will be registered with the NMC, currently employed at a UK Higher Education Institution, and hold a Masters level qualification (or higher) with recent experience developing and delivering enriching educational and assessment experiences for student nurses. We are particularly keen to hear from Dual Registered nurse academics, although would welcome applications from colleagues with either an Adult or Mental Health qualification. Experience as an External Examiner is desirable, but not essential. Appointment will be from October 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a period of 4 years.
