The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Worcester is seeking an experienced nursing academic to serve as an External Advisor (EA) for the development of our blended learning post-graduate pre-registration nursing courses: MSc Nursing (Adult), MSc Nursing (Mental Health), MSc Nursing (Adult) Degree Apprenticeship and MSc Nursing (Mental Health) Degree Apprenticeship. The approval event is scheduled for November 2025. The fee will be confirmed in the letter of appointment. The university will reimburse reasonable expenses incurred as part of the role as an external advisor.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with/meet the course team to advise on course development
- Review documentation
- Provide recommendations
- Produce a report on the course proposal
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Adult or Mental Health)
- Recent contemporary nursing knowledge
- Relevant experience in Higher Education teaching at least five years,’ including professional regulatory knowledge
- No professional relationship with the University of Worcester (or its partner institution) or staff involved with the course in the last five years.
- Experience in developing and delivering online or blended content
