The Council of Deans of Health welcomes Professor Amanda Croft as Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland. She is expected to start in February 2021, working alongside current CNO Professor Fiona McQueen who retires in March.
Professor Fiona Coutts, Convenor of the Council of Deans of Health Scotland, said:
“We look forward to working with Professor Croft in her new role and building on the very productive relationship we have developed with the current CNO Professor McQueen. The Council really values engagement with the CNO and it is vital for nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professions education and research, that there is close partnership working with universities. We also look forward to working with Caroline Lamb as the new Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Dr Gregor Smith as Chief Medical Officer.”
