PG Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing(HV/SN)
Oxford Brookes University is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic, with a specialist practice qualification in Health Visiting /School Nursing and V100 (NMC) Nurse prescribing qualification as external examiner for the above programme.
The PGDip in Specialist community Public Health Nursing consists of 120 credit at level 7, 40 credits are specific specialist practice modules and the V100 is integrated into these. The remaining modules are shared across the faculty .An external examiner is required to review the specialist practice modules including the V100. The remaining modules are reviewed by other external examiners. The post requires external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at the relevant Boards of Examiners.
The appointment will be with effect from September 2017 and will be for a full 4-year term. Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee and an induction day will be offered – to be held at the University following appointment. Whilst previous experience as an External Examiner is desirable, consideration would be given to those seeking their first appointment.
