Closing Date:

Salary Range:
Region:

This is an opportunity for a motivated individual with an interest in teaching to use their skills to support students as they progress towards registration. If you have appropriate post-registration experience, an interest in education, and broad experience in nursing skills we would welcome an application. We welcome applicants from all specialities and from both hospital and community settings. You should be well organised with excellent communication skills.

The post would involve teaching in the clinical skills centres on both of our campuses, Dundee and Kirkcaldy, along with classroom based tutorial sessions. You will work alongside others, developing and applying innovative teaching and learning techniques which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students. You would be required to deliver and modify existing sessions, and to work with others to develop new sessions, including extending our simulation, e-learning and inter-professional work. You will provide pastoral support to students as a personal tutor and you would also be expected to maintain your currency and expertise across a broad range of skills needed by new graduates.

Ideally you will have teaching or training experience and a teaching qualification, but this is also an opportunity for someone without formal qualifications to gain experience in an educational environment. Applicants will have a degree in nursing, and must be registered with the NMC.
