This is a fixed term post to 31 August 2019 for 33.3 hours per week and based in the London and South East localities.
Staff Tutors play a vital role in the provision of the Open University’s (OU) supported open learning model of education. They appoint and develop the Associate Lecturers (ALs) who provide support to OU students, and they quality assure academic and practice learning.
This post will include responsibility for the management of aspects of the Faculty’s portfolio of qualifications including the Pre-Registration Nursing Programme (PRNP) and Foundation Degree in Healthcare Practice (FDHP) in London and the South East. The successful candidate should be a Registered Nurse with professional qualifications and experience that demonstrates their credibility to meet the person specification for the role.
You will be part of a team in the London and South East locality and will be based at home. This team is part of an experienced group of staff who work across nation and four localities to provide student-focused education. Staff Tutors are members of the academic staff of the School of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care (HWSC) based in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies (WELS). You are expected to contribute to the presentation of modules and qualifications and engage in research/scholarship congruent with school and faculty strategic priorities. There is an entitlement to study leave once you are established in post.
