An exciting opportunity exists for a committed, passionate and engaging Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Nursing for the Adult Field to join the innovative Department of Adult Nursing. You will be expected to lead in lecturing and module development across the Trauma and Orthopaedic pathway on our newly validated Professional Practice Programme, delivered at Undergraduate and Master’s level. You will also be expected to contribute to our scholarly activities and support our Pre-Registration Nursing Programme.
You must hold at least a Master’s degree in a clinically relevant subject; ideally a PhD or Ed D or working towards one, and demonstrate on-going personal and professional development and appropriate study around trauma and orthopaedics. You will be required to demonstrate clinical currency in Orthopaedic Nursing. Applicants must also hold current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (Part 1). Previous teaching in a Higher Education setting is desirable. As a school we pride ourselves on constantly developing cutting edge teaching methods and ways of working in partnership with our students and local stakeholders, and our recent NSS scores are testament to this.
