Following the recent NMC modification event for the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice programme in the Sunderland School of Nursing, in Partnership with local NHS Foundation Trusts, County Durham and Darlington NHS FT, Newcastle Hospitals NHS FT and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS FT; we are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer Adult Nursing.

With more than 100 academic staff encompassing pharmacy, nursing, public health, and biomedical, pharmaceutical and environmental sciences, this department is the largest in the University. Work is completed on a £5.6m refurbishment of the Sciences Complex, which includes a 1,000 square meter, integrated ‘Living Lab’ facility. This outstanding Living Lab is a superb learning environment for students and professionals alike, designed to simulate multiple healthcare environments, yet provide a high level of flexibility. It includes several labs designed to mimic real world environments, for example hospital, point of care facility, a pharmacy dispensary and, a high fidelity simulation suite and debrief/PBL room incorporating clinical skills resources.

To assist us in the further development of our vision for teaching and research in nursing, pharmacy, health and healthcare sciences we are looking to recruit to the post of Senior Lecturer Adult Nursing. This role will support the continual development and delivery of the Sunderland School of Nursing, pre-registration adult nursing programme, ensuring excellence in student experience both on campus and in placement.You will engage with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in nursing and health related topics.
