The post holder will join a small team of Principal Lecturers who have strategic responsibilities for our portfolio of programmes, including the Nursing Associate and undergraduate nursing courses. For this particular senior post we are seeking a candidate who will have some strategic responsibility for the nursing associate provision as well as developing the apprenticeship agenda within the nursing discipline. Therefore, candidates with experience in apprenticeships are particularly sought.

The applicant will have a strong academic background with evidence of effective dissemination of good practice to others. The post holder will further the University of Worcester’s excellent reputation in nurse education by leading developments in this discipline. This post holder will provide strategic leadership in developing and delivering learning and teaching subject expertise in nurse education through furthering the academic community and providing academic leadership in ensuring the programmes meet the internal, external and NMC quality drivers.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Departmental Head and in collaboration with partner trusts, independent and voluntary sector organisations to enhance adult nursing in university and practice arenas. The Institute works closely with multi-disciplinary practice partners who support curriculum design and delivery to ensure future practitioners are fit for purpose.
