This is a time of great development for the university, which was recently ranked second nationally for graduate employability (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey 2015, published July 2016).

On the cusp of our 10th anniversary, we have a fast growing research reputation, increasing profile and place alongside national and international employers as well as multi-million-pound campus investments and exciting ambitions for the future.

The University has a substantial portfolio of paramedic programmes, delivering education from Certificate to Postgraduate level, and working with a number of different partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team in leading the coordination and assessment of portfolio based Level 4 Emergency Care Assistance provision with partner organisations, taking into account national developments for support roles within a paramedic emergency service.

The role will include development of assessors and support of students within their work-based setting. As such, the post-holder must be prepared and able to travel, and undertake off-site delivery for days or for blocks of time, as required. We are looking for an experienced paramedic who has a good understanding of the requirement for support roles within a paramedic emergency service and the wider ambulance service. Experience in the education of Emergency Care Assistants / Emergency Medical Technicians would be advantageous.

There will also be the opportunity to support the delivery of paramedic programmes, and contribute to other programmes within the department, especially those relating to paramedic, pre-hospital and emergency care.

* Incremental progression up to £36,001 (pro rata)
