The Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) School Nursing course at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The post will commence in September 2017 for a period of 4 years, and is subject to approval by the University.
The programme recruits both experienced school nurses and those who are new to the role from across the West Midlands region. The course is very well established and sits within the SCPHN award alongside health visiting and Specialist Community Nursing (District Nursing and Practice Nursing).
The External Examiner is invited to attend Module/Award Board meetings (February, June and August) to consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment and moderation process. As part of the University of Wolverhampton’s quality assurance mechanisms you will be required to write a report for each module board as well as an annual report at the end of the academic year.
Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified academics with experience of the delivery and assessment of similar programmes, and current NMC registration is essential. Previous experience as an External Examiner would be beneficial.
