We are seeking an external examiner to support modules within the Social Work Field of Study. The post will be for 4 years commencing on 1 October 2017 and includes the need to attend various examination boards.

The subject cluster requires a Module Field External Examiner to represent a range of academic perspectives within the Social Work subject area, and may cover the following modules:

UG Level

  • Evidencing Work Based Learning x2
  • Practice Education for Social Work Practice
  • Best Interest Assessment
  • Social Policy and Law for Social Work
  • Skills for Relationship Based Practice
  • Theory and Research for Social Work Practice

PG Level

  • Evidencing Work Based Learning x3
  • Best Interest Assessment
  • Issues in Child Protection

All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.

We particularly encourage applications from members of Black and Minority Ethnic communities, as this group is currently underrepresented among external examiners.
