The Department of Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the MSc Healthcare Management programme.

This programme is delivered to international students in Newcastle and as a franchised delivery with the Management Development Institute Singapore. The programme is delivered on a Full time (12 months and 17 months basis) basis in Newcastle and on a Part time (17 months ) and Full time ( 12 months) basis in Singapore. The programme shares some modules with the Master of Public Health programme.

The appointment will cover the above deliveries, and will include the following modules:

AC0779 Strategic management of healthcare
AC7030 Developing skills and competencies in healthcare
AC7029 Leadership and collaborative working in public health and healthcare
AC0724 Dissertation

Successful applicants will be appointed from August 2019 for a term of four years. External examiners will be asked to moderate assessment tasks and student work for a number of modules, and may attend Progression and Awards Boards. They will be asked to complete an annual report and be available for consultation on assessment and curriculum issues.
